It looks like there will be proper jumping ground at Kelso with rain forecast up until late morning. We have taken Royal Reserve out because of this but the other nine are intended runners.
We have two in each of the two mile novice hurdles; we will find out if Lucky Flight is as effective on soft as good ground, while Last King Of Wales, A Ladies Milan and Refer To Rory are all having their first run back after wind surgery. Two miles is possibly their minimum trip but on soft it looks a good starting point for them all.
Our two first time novice chasers have both been point to pointing and have enjoyed their schooling with us. Looks Like Murt has little race experience but is a real athlete, while Emirat De Cantana may be better on good ground, but will have plenty of support from his owners The British Racing Club whose members were here on a very enjoyable yard visit yesterday.
Two more in the staying handicap chase, Prince Dundee who is another who has shown all his best form on good ground, but he looks a stronger horse this time around, and Arizona Bound who has been in great form at home and wears a first time visor.
Finally, we have Izzy's Champion in the two and a half mile handicap hurdle. He has been making progress this month and should hold a solid chance in an open race.
